Travelling with only half of the family

Hi peeps,

I'm after some advice please. My friend is migrating tonight (190 Qld), with her youngest. Her husband and the other child aren't flying over until the end of May. Would this be an issue, and do they have to have something to state that permission is being granted by the other parent?

Thanks.

From what country?  Two issues could arise.

Some visas have a condition that the main applicant must enter first, if this is first entry and she isn’t the first applicant it May be a problem. It is less common than it used to be though.

Some countries may require you to show evidence of permission to take a child abroad without the other parent, especially on a one way ticket. The UK is one of these but she may or may not be challenged. Best to be prepared.
