Ron365
Hi -- my friend is from Indonesia and his Student Visa finishes in two weeks. He has an application pending for a new visa and so will have a Bridging Visa A in the meantime. His agent says that the student visa work conditions will continue on the Bridging visa. The problem is -- the agent says that the government has changed the rules and he can now only work in a "care" / "disability" industry. Is that right? Since his studies have finished I would have thought that he has "unrestricted" work rights until the new visa is granted. Ron.
wrussell
It looks as if your friend has been badly advised.

Is this advice from a Registered Migration Agent or an Education Agent? Bear in mind that Education Agents are not legally allowed to provide Immigration advice. Ron365
The agent is definitely a registered Immigration Agent.
