Bonnievic1234
Hi everyone, I have applied for my dad and my brother (under 18) for parent visa 143. Our application date is February 2017, has anyone applied around the same time? How long would the waiting time be? Thanks! Bonnie

How old is your brother now?

He was born in 2006, so 15 this year. Will he be able to get his PR if he is over 18 by the time the application is processed?

He would need to be in full time education still at time of visa grant. If he leaves education and gets a job, even an apprenticeship he’s not considered dependant. It’s your parent that’s entitled to the visa not your brother. Your brother is on the application as your parents dependant so it’s vital he is a dependant. Do you know the maximum age for him to be a dependent? Is it 18 or 23?
