brightoctober19
Hi- does anyone know if there’s anyone you can see/seek advice from prior to applying for your visa as to whether you’re likely to pass the the health screening? A specialist immigration consultant/healthcare professional for example? My wife has immune thrombocytopenia (low platelets) which is just a blood disorder that doesn’t require any treatment or investigation and she’s been discharged from haematology here in the uk. Obviously our worst nightmare is getting right the way through and then failing on the health screening so some pre-advice is what we’re looking for

Jia
Hi brightoctober19, it is a good idea to get legal advice whenever there is a health issue. What visa are you and your wife thinking of applying for?

What visa are you and your wife thinking of applying for? They do not need legal advice. They need the advice of a good migration agent. Some agents are also qualified lawyers, like yourself, but I cannot see the advantage in this case.

Yes perhaps not the best choice of words...what I meant was "immigration legal advice" which can be provided by both RMAs and immigration lawyers (same thing really). brightoctober19
Thank you for the advice- preferably the 190 visa or the 491 whenever they reopen for applications!
