Anyone had specific experience with a situation where employer revoked 186 on grounds of leaving before two years?

As the title says, keen to hear a real example. I read many opinions online but no specific examples of it going one way or another. Does it ever happen?

The employer can't revoke the visa.  All he can do is report the situation to Immigration.   Then it's up to Immigration whether they revoke the visa or not.

Thanks Marisawright, it's true the process is as you described. I am keen to hear if anyone had a real life example of this happening and the consequences. I know immigration revoke 186 on character grounds (they publish stats on this) but what about employer initiated?

Does it ever happen? Yes.

There is no one size fits all answer to your question as it depends entirely on the specific situation.
