travelfar Posted November 16, 2020 Share Posted November 16, 2020 Hi all I have not long returned from a two year working holiday visa back to the UK. After meeting my girlfriend out in oz (also from the UK) we are absolutely certain in our want to return back to Australia. I was wondering if anyone had sponsored or been sponsored by a company as a CNC machinist and/or programmer. I worked in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth and never had a problem getting interviews/jobs as a machinist but I think it would be hard to convince someone to give me a job from 10,000 miles away. It’s also hard to judge the quality of a job role and the shop I’d be working in from overseas. I have had an old boss tell me that he may sponsor me after covid is over but I’m not 100% how much I trust that the option will come to fruition. Can anybody shed some light on this please?
