We were accepted for our 190 visa back in Feb for SA but heard nothing since for obvious reasons. Just wondering if anyone has any positive news about visas or acceptance etc to cheer me up? Domo Posted November 9, 2020 Share Posted November 9, 2020 The DoH is granting offshore visas; PMSOL, pro rata, and non pro rata. Offshore non PMSOL are simply at the bottom of the barrel, which has been discussed on a number of articles. There have been social media groups who's members have been granted their offshore visas, so just like everyone else, we'll simply have to wait our turn. The grant will happen, however, it just might just take 2 years after invite/application. Hang on and make the most of your time until your turn comes, be productive! Domo Posted November 10, 2020 Share Posted November 10, 2020 I think PMSOL is just an occupation preference, and applies to all visa subclasses. Check the released FOI for both 189 and 190, and you'll notice which occupations have seen their visa grants. 2019-2030 FY saw something like 2,000 nurses being granted visas.
