I have read conflicting reports on various websites/forums regarding the state of the Australian economy, some reports saying it is strong and some saying that it could/is heading for recession. If this is indeed the case, what does that mean and how would that effect the man on the street (an increase in un-employment, maybe, etc?) Guest dawn courage Posted January 22, 2007 was at a conference this week, leading speaker and long term economic forcaster suggested that Australia was entering a golden age. Full employment is on the cards for the forseeable future. Out look is healthy, no major recession forseen. Small economic dips should be easily absorbable. As they say here "No worries mate!"
