CatinAus 2 Posted August 4, 2020 (edited) Can anyone recommend shipping companies for one piece of art (a framed artist print). I don't think that the value warrants a specialist art shipping firm, but I think it may be better to ship it independently to our movecube so that the shipping company is responsible for packing it properly etc. Edited August 4, 2020 by CatinAus Mistype
Marisawright 6,570 Posted August 4, 2020 What’s the worst that could happen? The glass breaks. Probably cheaper to replace the glass than send it separately Scot by birth, emigrated 1985 | Aussie husband applied UK spouse visa Jan 2015, granted March 2015, moved to UK May 2015 | Returned to Oz June 2016 "The stranger who comes home does not make himself at home but makes home itself strange." -- Rainer Maria Rilke

rammygirl 1,609 Posted August 7, 2020 I packed a few prints and some original art for my son. Wrapped in bubble wrap and then boxed (I made a box to fit from a TV box ). They went in a move cube with the rest of his things. We made sure it was packed tight and filled gaps with pillows and towels so nothing could move. Everything arrived just fine. So many wineries ......so little time
bicek 20 Posted January 2 Would be keen to know if anyone has used specialist print/art moving companies?? We have some art (boxed canvas paintings, and framed glass prints) that will need to be packed/shipped carefully.
