Britt_2789
Hi, I am a little confused with the terminology of 'settled permanent residence' status when applying for the contributory parent visa. Does this mean, I need to have had Permanent Residency for two years by the time my parents would apply. Or, does this mean that I have to of lived in Australia for two years AND have PR? I've lived here with no gaps for over 3 and a half years, but I am still about a year away from PR. I am just trying to count how many years it would be before they could even apply, and then potentially be here with me! Thanks in advance
paulhand
It’s considered on a case by case basis ... generally you need to have been ‘lawfully resident’ for the period.

Thanks in advance  According to an agent,  2 years can be on temporary visa such as student visa.
