Just wandering if anyone had done a recent English test? Just wandering how hard/easy it is to pass? Also do you still have to do this test if you are sponsored by an employer? VERYSTORMY Posted May 2, 2020 Share Posted May 2, 2020 The English test, if you are British, isn’t compulsory for migration. But, if you want to claim the points for English, then you have to take one of the tests. In which case, you should certainly revise for it and do a good preparation such as the practise tests. Employer sponsored visas don’t require points, so, if you are British, then no, you wouldn’t need to take it. But, and this is a huge but, given that employer sponsored visas are usually temporary and come with a huge number of issues I would not recommend that route.
