Red light signal jumped once - will it impact my ability to apply for citizenship

Recommended Posts

I came to Sydney on PR in Feb 2019 and aim to apply for citizenship in 4-5 years.

I am mostly a very careful driver, but I ended up jumping a red signal a few days back (since I was checking something in the dashboard and missed 1-2 seconds to notice the yellow light, and by the time it was too late to apply brake) and I got a penalty and 3 demerit points for it. I paid the fine already.

I am wondering whether this will impact my ability to apply for citizenship. I saw a post by https://www.pomsinoz.com/profile/226559-mzubair/ on a similar note, but I am unable to PM him to see the outcome of his application.

I was hoping someone here could guide me.

No need to report a traffic fine. Crikey if that stopped you getting citizenship it would disqualify a huge proportion of people!

So many wineries ......so little time
