Evidence

Hi everyone.

We’re going to be applying for our spouse visa in the next month or so and just want to be prepared for what we need.

already completed the forms online but yet to submit.

regarding evidence the things I have got ready are

Copies of social media messages between the two of us.

photos together

letters from friends about our relationship

evidence of family holidays

joint bank statements

our kids birth certificates

Driving licenses

council tax bills and water bills.

I can’t provide a rental agreement or mortgage as we don’t have 1, as my dad owns the house we live in, phone bills are in my name and we don’t have any other joint accounts.

is there anything that people can see that I’ve missed?

thanks

Social  media messages are worthless as evidence.  All it proves is that too accounts interacted, it could be the same person on both sides of the conversation.

They can be included as additional proof though, although not sufficient if used alone. Immigration do check facebook profiles, and have even been known to question applicants about posts on their timelines. It is also not unknown for posts by third parties (eg jealous ex girlfriends) to be used as evidence when rejecting visas,
