Form 1005 questions , need help!

Hi,

I have applied for Visa 461 (NZ citizen family relationship visa) and have granted BVA

My BVA has 6 month work restriction as I am on WH visa now so I sent the form 1005 with proof of financial hardship last week to Melbourne office.

However,  I haven't heard acknowledgement from the government yet.

I will have a job interview next week and need a professional opinion if the government will waive my work restriction.

I have tried to find immigration lawyer though they are just too expensive and I could not afford that.

Could anyone please tell me how long it usually takes for government to determine for the form 1005 and how high is the possibility that they will waive the restriction.

Also if there is any other way to waive my work restriction, please let me know.

I would very appreciate your help.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for your response, @wrussell !

I did and they were either too expensive ( at least $150 + / 30min) or they could not help my case at all.

A great up date! Just now, I got an email from the government that they removed my work restriction.

It took me about a week to get it removed though, it was fairy quick considering its a crazy time for everyone due to COV-19.

I hope this post will help others reducing their stress who are in the same situation as me.

My case :

I have applied for Visa 461 (New Zealand citizenship family relationship visa) and I was granted bridging visa A with 6months work restriction.

I have submitted form 1005 with the supporting documents last week and they have removed the work restriction. (it took about a week)

They did not send me any acknowledgement email and just straight sent me new bridging visa with no conditions.

(I am still on my WHV and the bridging visa will be active on 10/4/2020)

Here is the list of things that I submitted with form 1005

- Form 1005

- Cover letter with the reason why I need no work restriction

- My & my husband's last 2 most recent payslips

- Bank statements ( Mine, my husband's, and our joint accounts')

- Spread sheet of our the daily expenses in a month / the costs of our moving, wedding and visa application

- example receipt of the daily shopping, the most recent bills ( for almost everything ; mobile, internet, gas, electricity and water)

additional info

* both of our parents live overseas so its hard for them to support us

* I have about 20,000 $ savings though its for my future study and I explained it in the cover letter

I am not the expert and I cannot guarantee if you can get your restriction removed

though hopefully this can give you some sort of relief if you are worried with the similar situation of mine.

Thank you.
