We looked into years ago going UK to Aus and were told you couldnt load the car with your belongings, they had to ship separate. Not sure if things have changed over the last few years but it may be worth dropping Iron Chef as they ship to Aus, so maybe able to help.

Does your payment agreement allow you to take the car out of the country?  It certainly isn’t cheap or straightforward to ship cars overseas.  Check out iron chef in the transport section though.  They helped us bring our TT to Australia.

The first thing to check is whether your lender will allow you to take the car overseas

Worth considering that Hyundai have withdrawn the Veloster from the UK market so this will mean a few things:

1) Parts will be harder to source if you need replacements

2) Insurance will go up as its a scarcer car (and therefore paying for replacements becomes more expensive for the insurer)

3) You need to declare it is an import on insuring it, this again raises the cost considerably

You can get a 4 year old one here for about £6,000 in very good condition - this is probably less than it will cost to ship and re-register your current car
