leighmarsh151084
Hi Can anyone confirm this for me.I've come over on a 190 visa as a general electrician and a friend of ours on a 489 as a carpenter. He seems to think that he has to work as a carpenter here or is visa will be provoked. Is this right as I can't see it being the case due to people struggling to find work and then have to take any job to get by etc. Look forward to your replies. Thanks
Lavers
Hiya pal Im sure that you can do whatever you want to do for a job, your only tie is obviously staying regional for longer and its not a PR visa
GB537
Hi, I'm due to move to Australia soon on a 489 visa. My migration agent said that I can work in any employment. As long as I live in the specified regional area for 2 years and work in ANY full time job for 1 year I can then apply for permanent residency.
VERYSTORMY
He can do what ever work he wants as long as it is full time and meets the regional requirement.
