I have to go back to organise work which will therefore put my move back by at least 2 more years due to finances and jobs. I will have a son going into year 11 at this point. Just wondering could he apply for 6th form if we try and aim to get him back for year 12 or would his ATAR not transfer over? I would also have a year 9 student. Cup Final 1973 397 Posted January 3, 2020 I'm not sure whether your son will be going into year 11 in the English or Australian system. I do know that an ATAR will not translate into the English system because it is a ranking of Australian students in any given year and only applicable for applying to an Australian university. Warrat 10 Posted March 4, 2021 I’ve recently googled about ATAR and discovered it’s apparently recognised by UK universities. Can your school here advise on international pathways? 176 lodged 2009; SOL changed now priority 5 - never going to be processed!; SA sponsorship applied 9/6/2013; SA sponsorship approved 24/6/2013; Subclass 190 lodged 27/6/2013; Meds booked 24/8/2013; CO 1/8/2013; Visa Grant 31/8/2013. This would be very expensive... Overseas fees in UK unis are typically £25k a year and there are no loans to cover them (and he wouldn't qualify for a loan for living either until he had been in the UK for 3 years, and then only if he hasn't already started the course) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
