The truth about Australia's immigration policies

I could sort of understand it if they guy was going to be sent back to Kenya or some such country, and he was going to suffer torment. But the UK? He could have come back, retrained and applied again.

Australian immigration policy isn't the bees knees, and I can't understand why the UK wants to replicate it. 

But I don't think you should change the immigration system just because of an obvious case of mental illness.

One has to wonder , as he clearly had mental health issues, whether he would have passed the medical for PR anyway, even if he had reached the level to pass skills assessments etc. Even a Spouse Vusa would require him to pass a medical.
