Work payment evidence

Recommended Posts

Looking at applying for either 190 or 491 need advice for payment evidence we can get bank statements but as you need 2 we are unable to get a second before 2013.

Phoned HMRC this morning and they are sending out the last 6 years proof but as work experience is from 2006 we don't know what to do for 2006 to 2013?

Any ideas greatly appreciated

Superannuation/provident fund records, more bank records should be available, employer records, salary advice slips, union/professional registration records, statutory declarations.

Thank you for the reply.

But as I said all we have is bank statements showing salary being credited from the employer there are no other relevant bank statements.

Re other documents you have listed we lost them due to flood damage, and these documents are from 2006-09 when we had no plans to emigrate so there no need to pay for copies.

Also in the UK employers only keep previous employees records for 3 years and HMRC only keep records for 6 years so the documents you have listed are unfortunately unattainable as we don't have them and due to record keeping legislation no department has a copy for us to obtain.

So it would be "rough" to say the least if they refused to not recognise the work experience for one document which is basically saying the same as another!!

If you could offer some reassurance that this won't be the end of the world...but I feel you can't or you would have done in the 1st place rather than list a range of the standard records required.

Thanks anyway

Can you prove there was a flood at the relevant time?

Did you lodge an insurance or other claim?

It might pay you to seek professional advice about possible strategies, best of luck.

This is what you need - HR may not have salary records but they should be able to give you a statement of employment or if they can't an ex manager - saying something like.

person x worked here from xxx-xxx and their salary was xxxx

That with the bank statement should work.
