Sigemup
Hi guys, When would it be right to apply for RRV once you are eligible? Would it be ok to apply even if you have close to 1 year to apply or perhaps only a month or so to do it? Thank you
LouDYorkie
Are you living in Australia currently? I suppose it depends on when you need it and whether you have the luxury of being able to postpone your trip if it doesn’t arrive in time. Some peoples seem to be issued very quickly but I’ve heard of some taking an extraordinary amount of time. I’m guessing those that take longer are those that are not straight forward...
paulhand
If you satisfy the two years in Australia as a permanent resident in the last five years criteria, grants are usually pretty instant. If not, then factor in 12 weeks for processing, although some are coming through faster.

Thank you guys for the replies. @paulhand If the condition is met, is there any advantage to getting an RRV with about 10 months to go for the existing RRV or would it be better to do it when there is about 1 month or so ? paulhand
Your new RRV will run for 5 years from when it is granted, so there is no advantage to doing a renewal super early in that situation. You just bring forward the next renewal date ...
