How many years experience in occupation for a 190 state sponsored visa

For the skilled visa 190, I think the amount of required experience in the field of work is 3 years. Does this include years as an apprentice?

No. Only work once fully qualified is counted.

There is no set amount for a 190 and it will vary depending on a number of variables.

There are a number of things which need to be considered in regards to employment experience:

• Amount required for the skills assessment;
• Amount required before you are considered "skilled" in you occupation for migration purposes;
• Amount of "skilled" employment experience which can be claimed for points purposes;
• Some States require a certain amount of experience for some occupations.
