Yes dear i applied after 1st june 2016....i was excited before i start reading the threads here.... i thought if they assessed application until May 2016 based upon system generated email i got from parents@homeaffairs.gov.au.... but apparently someone told me here they applied in April 2016 and still have not heard anything so that means i gonna have to wait like forever....very annoying.... For instance one poster with date of 31/10/16 was told 10450 in front of them in queue calculator for all visas , yet going on these figures of just 143 there would have been 12492 in front of them so more than the calculator said; whereas my date of 21/06/17 in the queue calculator for all visas said 22900 but in these figures (again just 143 ) I have 17167 in front of me so first poster had less in queue calculator than these figures whereas I had more in the queue calculator than these figures so it doesn’t make sense. I think it’s best to wait and see what @Alan Collett posts as he’s waiting on some statistics that might hopefully give all of us a better idea of where we all are! I agree with you, people think that they are going to have a visa in 4 to 5 years. I’m so pleased Kath Smart told me about this forum. It showed that the approx. number of persons ahead of you in the queue: 9220. This number includes applicants being considered for visa grant this program year. With reference to the calculator, we applied for 143 on 27/01/17. I checked the Queue calculator on 28/05/20 and there was 13340 people ahead of us. so from 20/9/16 to 27/1/17 there must have been approx. 4120 extra applications according to the calculator. According to the spreadsheet above the figure is just over 3800 (approx.). Our arrive by date is the 28th january 2021, who do we get in touch with and when to let them know this date is impossibe to keep too. Thanks in advance. I reckon if its a connecting flight then you dont need to leave the airport and catch your connecting flight from melbourne or adelaide. You cannot board any domestic flights in Australia until you have passed quarantine. The good news is that QLD does not require double quarantining. We have lived in Malaysia for almost 10 years on a retirement visa called Malaysia My Second Home. If you can fund yourself and can prove it by depositing funds into Malaysia, older retirees have been welcomed here. Similar idea exists in Thailand, although I believe the entry criteria are slightly different there.
