Applying for State Sponsor from other State

Hi Guys,

I'm a civil engineering student in VIC here and I saw that there are a lot of related occupations that I can apply for a PR in NSW state sponsor site.

So, I am wondering that what are that chances that we can apply accross the states like that?

P.s: I got 60 Points which is perfectly enough for applying this visa.

Thanks in advance

The state will likely reject you on the basis you are not committed to the state. Also, have you checked if NSW are sponsoring your occupation and any conditions attached?

Hi there, thanks for replying.

I couldn't find any additional conditions that I won't meet. At least that I know of after quick research. And what does the ranking in the occupation availability means? Does that start from Limit, Low, Medium, High or otherwise?

That's not correct. It may be the case for other states, but not for NSW.

2 months ago, I received NSW sponsorship for a 190 while living in QLD.

Each State and Territory has its own requirements. Victoria for instance is well known for wanting to see firm commitment to living there.

Correct. However, the original post in this thread specifically mentions NSW.
