Hey Guys,

Newbee here.  🐣

Has anyone had experience with VIT registration process? This is a requirement for 190Visa for Secondary school teacher applying for Victorian state sponsorship.  Received a +Positive Skill assessment form AItsl 😀

How long does the registration process take?

Total points count - 70 for 190 Visa

Total points count - 70 for 189 Visa

Anyone here that's been given an invite on above-mentioned scores!

Hey Wrussell,

Thank you for your reply.

We don't have the 5 state points yet. Need VIT registration for that.

Once we have stat points we will go up to 75 for 190 Visa.

We have gone through registration with VIT however that was via mutual recognition. The full registration process was done for Queensland which took roughly 3 months, which I think most states work towards for overseas qualifications.

Bran,

Thanks for the reply.

We are just looking for registration with VIT to fullfill the requirements by VIC gov. So how long did it take you to get through VIT.

We submitted the application a month ago.

It took around a month, however this was under the mutual recognition route. If I remember correctly the guidelines are around 3 months for new registrations.

That's awesome!
Good luck to you and family for stating a new chapter. 🤗

I just hope our turns comes soon. It seems like it will be a long wait for the invites based on our scores.

How long was your process and what were your scores, if you don't mind sharing?

Probably not relevant now as visa was granted April 2018, but we had 75 points under Pre-Primary Teacher. Visa submission was mid Nov 17, so 5 months wait time for us.
  • Congratulations 1

The wife an I are currently sat on 75 points waiting for a 189 visa for 241411secondary school teacher.

Hopefully this months select round is not just 80/85 points again.

We lodged in May, not that long ago and the wait is still painful 😂😂

Hi Hillbury,

At 75 points your invite should come quickly!
Just looking at a friends case she applied in Dec and was invited in Jan and lodged the application straight away. So jealous her's was so quick.
overall it looks like its a 4 - 6-month process.

My best wishes and good luck!

At 75 points, it is expected you would get the invite soon for the subclass 189 visa. All the  best for the same.

Hi Sarz

Yeah we lodged a 189 in May, we are looking to go to QLD so are waiting for their 190 to re open before we try a 190 route. We are also waiting for my skills assessment to bump up our points. Just waiting for vetassess to let me know a date. Hopefully that will give us another 5 points. Then should be able to claim the full ten if we are still waiting in November.

how about yourself?

Thanks.

Eddie

Hi Eddie,

We applied for 189 at 70 points and 190 (VIC) with 75 points this June. Unfortunately, can't claim partner points, but I have family in VIC so hopeful here that will help our case.

Looks like it will be a much longer wait for us!

Have been looking  according to that no invites for teachers have been issues since Jan at 70 points.

Cheers
Sarz.

Hey guys,

I submitted my EOI 70 pts 189 and 75 pts for 190 nsw. DOE: 23/02/19. I haven't received any invitation yet. I am working as a full time mathematics teacher in a public school. I will get 5 additional pts in january. I know that 190 NSW requires one experience now :s. I am also waiting for QLD's occupation list, hopefully I will be able to apply. I haven't gone through the mutual recognition yet, should I do it now before they announce their list or just wait?

thank you

Hey Pam,

You have the same points as us, just a different state, we chose VIC.
Just and FY our agent told us that for non pro-rata the invite times for 70/75(state) is now around 5-6 months.
So for you, it should be closer, hang in there and good luck!

We have applied for VIT registration last month and have been told that its a 6wk process.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, NSW requires now 1 year experience in order to be invited. So I know that I won't be invited, this is why I am considering QLD :s.
