AAT appeal for 186 nomination refusal

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am on the same stressful situation that I applied for the 186  application on May, 2019 then on November 2019 it was refused due to financial grounds reason, then lodged AAT appeal on 22nd November 2019 but haven't heard anything and waiting till today.

Please advise, any advise will be highly appreciated.

I am still waiting for AAT decision.

Thanks in advance.

Appeals are taking over two years before they are even looked at

My agent told me today that AAT are working on jan feb 2018 and with the result of businesses closing and/or sponsorships no longer needed those cases will be withdrawn which will speed up the process.

i applied September 2018 so she said I should expect to hear something in 3-6 months

Just wondering after you got approved from AAT, while you are waiting for the immigration, do you still need to work for the same employer?
Thanks in advance

Hi!

Our case is a little different. Any Advise would be helpful, because this mental stress is becoming too much to bare.

186 nomination filed March 2020, nomination approved 8th February 2021. Visa refusal 5th March 2021 on the bases of not given ielts.

Our MA suggested educational documents proving 5years of English education  should be sufficient. And now Our  visa is refused on the bases of not having the Ielts document.

Can we still give ielts and appeal to AAT?? Do we have any hope left?? This stress is too burdening.

AAT appeal lodged back in April 2019, I guess mine will take longer. Will watch this thread.

Just to share our timeline, our case is a bit complex as one of my son failed the health criteria due to his Autism. Tons of documentation we prepared to show that we can mitigate the cost and we are fortunate we get ample support from family, friends, employers, schools, & community. Our case was remitted back to the Immigration Department without going thru face to face hearing. Wow, our visa application took close to 5 years at this stage but we are happy that we passed the biggest hurdle after the rejection. Currently waiting for the correspondence from Immigration on the next step. I will keep you posted!

Visa Applied: June 2017

Visa Refused: March 2019

AAT Appeal Lodgement: April 2019

AAT File Opened & Requested Documents: August 2021

Documents Submitted: October 2021

Request to Comment & Document Submitted: November 2021

Additional Document Requested & Submitted: February 2022

Additional Document Requested & Submitted:  March 2022

AAT Appeal Won, Visa File Remit to Immigration: March 2022
