richmlcfc Posted June 15, 2019 Share Posted June 15, 2019 Hey we are a UK couple with PR. Our little girl was born 6 days after our Permanent residency was granted (doesn’t matter that it took 13 months for approval ) but my fathers pay was approved but my wife’s maternity pay was declined. Has anyone else had the same issue? cheers rich Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also to get paid parental leave you need to meet the residence rules; from Dept of Human Services:  Newly arrived residents generally have to wait 2 years before getting this payment, with some exemptions.
