457 2 years Visa going to PR visa, need 482 visa extension?

Hi all, I am currently on a 457 visa - marketing specialist, planning to apply for 186 PR Temporary Residence Stream. I have lodged my 457 on 20 Jan 2017, and was granted in 1 Sep 2017. It states my stay period is till 1 Sep 2019.

1. Does it mean if I did not take any leave more than what i am allowed to (total 40 days), I can lodge in my PR visa on 1 Sep 2019 without having to extend my visa to a 482 visa?

2. Anyone knows if Smart Recruiter is accepted for the labour marketing testing? It post to various job platforms like Jobble. The live link does not show the date of publish but only the backend of the platform. Will that work? Also, is it really necessary to include the salary int the ad?

3. The processing time stated on the Immi website: 11 -13 months for 186 is starting from the date the company nomination is lodged + application for PR applicant or it is 11 -13 months for company nomination and another 11-13 months for PR applicant ? The immigration advise to lodge both nomination and PR application at the same time. Can I confirm if this is possible?

4. If I extend my visa now with a 482 visa with my current company, then got sponsored with another company with another 482 visa. Will i be still under the grandfathering law of 457 to be able to apply for 186 Visa?

Thanks in advance!!

1.  I assume you started working for your employer on the 457 on the day it was granted?  If so, I think technically your employer could lodge a 186 nomination and you could lodge your visa application on 1 Sep 2019, however I think you'd be taking a massive risk leaving it to the very last day.  All it would take is a technical glitch or even planned system maintenance to complete wreck your plans and then you're in the country unlawfully.

2.  I've never heard of them, but if they are a nationwide job board then perhaps they may be acceptable.  You'd need to be able to show the dates that the posting was live.  Yes, you must include the salary in the ad.

3.  AFAIK, the published processing times relate to the application. Usually if the nomination and application are submitted together or within a short time of each other, the nomination will be approved and then DHA will go on to processing the application fairly soon after.  It doesn't always work this way though so sometimes the visa application can still be several weeks or even months later.

4.  Not sure, I'd suggest you speak with a registered migration agent on this.
