SarahFitz
Hi, I am applying for a working holiday visa however recently requested CBT for my anxiety (which I think is work related). They also offered me anti depressants which I took but I am now concerned this will affect my visa application. I can’t seem to find anything online that states for certain whether this impacts the decision. Has anyone else been through this or knows anyone who has? Thanks
Tindog
Hey, I don't think you need to worry - I applied for mine despite having history with depression, anxiety and taking anti-depressants and CBT. Plus a recent Asperger's diagnosis.
Loopylu
The only thing you need to worry about is your travel insurance. If you have experienced any mental health issues in the past or are currently taking medication to manage a condition (eg anti-depressants) you must declare it and pay any additional premium otherwise if you relapse or suffer any other health issue (ie not just mental health) while travelling, it is likely that the insurer will not cover you if you need to make a claim. It is a WHV, so would not worry. This should only be a question maybe if migrating Also, they (immigration) will only know if you tell them
