AQF Diploma - What is the British Equivalent?

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hello,

Can someone please help me and tell me what the British Equivalent of an AQF Diploma is please?

On my skills assessment the Australian Computer Society has said my technical skills are comparable to an AQF Diploma with a major in computing.

I am wondering if this worth mentioning on my CV. Not sure if I would be more damaging to include this.

Thanks

Well it depends what level AQF. Like English NVQ they have different levels. You can try to google and see if that helps.  I suspect most will have a degree or Diploma.

You could look to see what qualifications are available here and try to compare them too.

As to how the industry here will view it, sorry no personal knowledge of that. I know son is doing a computer science degree here as preferred route.

So many wineries ......so little time

According to Google it is a level 5 diploma. I am thinking this is basically the equivalent to finishing TAFE / College?

I have other qualifications as well. For example my Cisco certifications forms the majority of a degree in networking.  I am just concerned that mentioning that might distract from these or maybe devalue them.

Thanks
