Aruna Devi
457 VISA extension - is there any chances for refusal due to visa refused by another country in the past ?
MaggieMay24
I assume it would depend on why the other visa was refused. If it was a fairly simple issue, e.g. didn't meet basic criteria, then I assume it would have little to no effect. If it was a more significant issue, e.g. provided false documents, then it may have more impact.

There is no such thing as a 457 visa extension. The 457 visa no longer exists and can not be applied for. You would be looking to lodge a completely new 482 application. If the previous refusal was not an issue for the 457 which was granted, it should not be an issue for a new visa application. If however, you did not disclose the previous refusal on other applications, it could pose an issue.
