Schwein
Hello. Does anyone know if the WHV counts towards the 4 year residency requirement for citizenship?
ali
My understanding is that it does if you will have been living in Aus on a valid visa (WHV is a valid visa) for the last 4 years of which you need to have been a Permanent Resident for the last 12 months. Other criteria (which you may already know - apologies). Not been out of the country for more than 12 months in the last 4 years (in total) and not more than 90 days (total) in the last 12 months (when applying for citizenship. The home affairs website has a calculator to know when you're eligible. You also need to meet the character test.
