Got my VISA granted today after waiting for 10 months and 24 days. Status moved directly from Received to Finalised. Hope you all get yours approved soon. Good Luck!!!

HI @Vickybadbil,

I got my 186 Granted yesterday. A bit all of a sudden as I only waited for 51 days. But already heaps of questions, what did you do with your health insurance for example? As we are now eligible for Medicare.

You were actually eligible for Medicare as soon as you submitted your onshore application.  But you can apply for Medicare and cancel your health coverage if you choose to do so.  Many people continue the health coverage or change it to another policy based on their personal needs.

I'll apply for medicare and definitely get an extra cover just in case. Definitely not keeping my overpriced one I had to keep for the 457 😉
