Hi,
Does the questions present in immi site is enough to prepare for exam or will there be any additional documents that I need to go through like " Out common bond" etc,?
Appreciate your help.
regards
Aryan

You need to learn the testable section in Our Common Bond. All the questions are based on that content.

Anyone have an update from the Sunshine Coast?

Applied 4th May 2018

test 8th May 2019

waiting approval

just sent off for my second foi and a month ago I had a call from the CO after complaining on the global feedback. He said that he approves 400 a week and that he’s in April right now so I’ll be coming up soon. He said keep checking my mailbox so I’ve been doing it daily for over a month now 😅

i said that it was BS that regional areas get longer approvals yet there’s so many people in major cities getting same day approvals and there’s many applicants from 2019 getting their citizenship within a few months. This process is utter BS

Just letting you all know guys that I was just approved for my citizenship.

Applied 30 Jan 2017
Test 19 July 2018
Approved 27 Aug 2019
18 months and 28 days from Application to Approval.

I attempted the FOI thing and was denied.
Called the hotline only to be told we need to JUST wait.

All the best to everyone. So over the moon.

Congratulations on passing your test, I am not from the same council but I just had a quick question. The approval on the immi site did you get an email notification or did you check on the site itself?

I have by test yesterday and have a very similar timeline, so hoping for a quick approval.

Thanks! No email. I checked the immi account. I had a nice case officer for the interview and she told me that there is no email sent for the approval. She also mentioned that she just needed to run some checks and that if everything was ok she expected to be able to approve within a day or two. So I checked this morning!

Submit it online. Just type FOI in Google and should take you to the FOI page.

Answer as needed and quote you want your ICSE Screenshot and Case notes.

Attach Driver license or anything proof of who you are and submit.

They will respond if they needs more information.

Hi,

I have a question on the required documents to be produced on the exam day!

Is Birth Certificate is Mandatory document? I do not have one.

Whats the alternative to it? Does Statutory declaration is sufficient?

Regards

This is what comes in the email

"

What we request you bring
Along with this letter, we request that you bring the original version of the following documents to your appointment. The Document Checklist will assist you to identify acceptable documents. Photocopies or certified copies of documents are not acceptable. We request that you bring:

  • at least three documents that, all together, show your birth name, date of birth, gender, photograph, signature and current residential address
  • official evidence of change of name showing links between all names used
  • any other identity documents issued by another government that you consider will assist in verifying your identity
  • evidence of when you first arrived in Australia and your present country of citizenship
  • the documents that were submitted with your application
  • documents for any children under 16 years of age included in your application
  • official translation to accompany any documents which are not in English (see Translating your documents)
  • any other documents that we have requested you to provide."

It doesn't specifically ask for a birth certificate unless you have uploaded it as evidence in your application.
