The world over has some weird events, just last night on the news they were talking about an urban marathon in Manchester. What are some of the strange/weird events that you have heard of? Have you competed in any of them????? or would you like to??? Try to put the link on or photo's if you can, so we can all have a good laugh. Guest Working to fish Posted July 14, 2008 Thanks Geoff for starting this thread. I'll rewrite what i put on another thread a minute ago cos it seems to have disappeared. Don't know why. I remember in the west country, Devon, a small town called Ottery St Mary, we used to go there on 5th November, as they used to do tar barrel rolling and thousands of people turned up to watch this event. Basically the young guys of the town would all get very drunk and they would then run around around the town with burning tar barrels on their backs while all the onlookers tried their best to keep out of the way.
