How is Megan doing so far?

I'm starting to think Anne Widdicombe's prophesy that "she will be trouble" could be near the mark.

Depends whether you believe all the rubbish written in the British press . Who really knows? They have a bad track record with Diana, Fergie and the long list of people they bad mouth.

I agree with Arthur

Quote
ARTHUR EDWARDS

Meghan Markle, lighten up. You’re not the new Princess Diana and it’s time you and Prince Harry ended this phoney media war

Sun snapper Arthur has some words of advice for the Duchess and how she can start to truly win Brit hearts

What is it with the media?  I take what they say with a large pinch of salt.  The whole Meghan/Harry thing comes across as a really bad soap opera especially the rumours that they have had a spat with Kate and William.  😐

Anything to grab attention and make money - no matter how nasty or twisted or  untruthful they have to be to do it.

Following Princess Diana and the press - they aren’t going to be given a second chance with this, what ever Megan’s family might try to do to keep themselves in the limelight.

The press best watch out.

From a trade perspective the EU is an outdated entity. In a globalized world, free trade can be achieved without the expense and the restrictions of a protected micro free trade environment. Leaving the EU makes sense, but only if it leads to a greater Britain. To leave the EU badly, or to become a protectionist state would be wrong and inefficient. Payback should be within five years not within twenty five years, or what's the point?

Also, what is it with the morons that get suckered in by this crap.  If people didn't buy, click or repost they would soon stop publishing this drivel..

It really does make one despair about the average intelligence level of the general population.  No wonder we end up with such abysmal politicians.

I am guilty of clicking  😳 but while reading whatever guff about the royals, I always think 'how the heck do they (media) know all this stuff that surely is private.  Is there a mole leaking all the info?  This is on the front cover of Womans Day    .........................  by the way I don't buy it.  I saw in in the supermarket   ...............  honest!!!!!  Utter tripe as usual.

Prince Harry trapped in a loveless marriage...just like his mother Princess Diana

He’s got a celebrity wife and a baby on the way but with all the secrets and lies, is the prince beginning to think he’s made a big mistake?

I bet when you read deeper, it will say "unnamed source, close to the royals".  Which means they made it all up 🤣

Womens day is the worst. Like you I would see the front page at the supermarket queue. Poor old Fifi Box had some utter crap written about her, always with the “new baby joy”, she wasn’t pregnant.....Speculation on who the father of her little girl was, linking her with any bloke she spoke to, the Bondi vet was one, Russell Brand another. I’m sure lots of others copped it as well, including Kate Middleton, but Fifi is the one I always think of. They were unrelenting.

Womans Day is just a load of bollox.  I'm surprised nobody has sued.  Is it owned by the Packer family?  It was rumoured at one time that it was.

Rebel Wilson sued it for lying about her.  She was granted a huge payout but that was reduced when the the company appealed.  It was owned by the Packer family when it was part of Australian Consolidated Press.  Now owned by Bauer Media....don't think Packers have anything to do with it now.

Oh yes, I forgot about Rebel Wilson suing.  Surprised there hasn't  been a lot more suing going on though.

I'm sure there's a lot of settlements out of court. Wish they would write an article about me and I could settle. Wouldn't need many of those to make you rich.

People (women) keep buying the mag though.

Why do women read these trashy magazines @Skani ?

What is wrong with a good book ?

I want it all, and I want it now.

Beats me, Parley.  I remember my mother referring to them as "piffle magazines" - and that was back in the 1960s when they were far less trashy than they are now.  I don't know anyone who buys them but obviously someone does.

A co-worker bought it every week.  I liked the big crossword in it.  Used to do it in my lunch hour.  🙂

I think I would murder someone if they did the crossword in my magazine.

She was only interested in the gossipy articles and never did the crossword.
