Hi guys,

I applied for a 186 visa as a Marketing Specialist based in Sydney back on 23rd Feb 2019. Up until now I have not seen any change in the status of my application.

With everything submitted I am wondering what is taking the department so long, particularly given that I am seeing others who applied for the same role type, also in Sydney, who applied after me, getting responses.

Is anyone aware of that determines when your application is reviewed, can you contact the department to get a better understanding of the delay?

Also given that I have already submitted all additional documents with my application, I notice that after 12 months they may no longer be valid - as this is the departments fault (due to them estimating a processing time of 8-10 months at the time of application) will they accept the documents or request a renewal?

Your still currently within the estimated processing times.

186 DE is 11 to 16 months.
186 TRT is 11 to 14 months.

Calling them wont help unfortunately. You will just need to sit tight like the rest of us.

Sometimes they will give you some leeway on the documents that have expired however you may have to get them again.

Unfortunately the processing time when you applied wont be taken into consideration.

You can joint the 186 discussion here -  https://www.pomsinoz.com/topic/193485-skillselect-ens-186-timeline/?page=1938

Many people in the same situation as yourself.
