Jsmull87
Hi, can any members based in Adelaide give us a rough idea of how long it takes to find a rental property. We know there are a lot of variables to consider which make a diffference but just a general idea. We have a dog which may restrict options. We are planning the move for June having got the visas in December and was wondering how long to book an air bnb for.
rammygirl
Depends on many things a month would be a good bet though. We took 5 weeks to find somewhere and then the landlords were away and not responding so another 2 weeks to get keys. However this was in January and there wasn’t much available and we were being fussy! We also knew where we wanted to be having lived here before. Do your reaearch as much as possible and keep an eye on realestate.com.au amd domain.com.au tp suss out the market. Do you have an area and type of house in mind? Jsmull87
We like the look of properties around Hallett Cove although are fairly open minded. Perhaps 12 months on when we look to buy we will be a lot more fussy about it but hopefully with a lot more insight. We don’t specifically need to commute to the city for work (electrician & early years teacher) but we are considering just getting one new car initially rather than two used ones. The wife has this idea about cycling to work in the sun if possible. The air bnb we have seen is in O’Sullivan beach area so hopefully a good place to start. As long as it’s a reasonably safe suburb. Which it does appear to be on homely.com.au We were thinking a month air bnb but would 6 weeks be a safer chioice. The wife wouldn’t be happy being homeless so soon.
