sjb379
We are moving to Oz in March 2019. As we are planning a long term move, we have been told that our existing travel insurance will not cover us for flights etc. if there are any problems e.g. having to cancel flights. We also need to hire a car at the airport and our travel company has told us they can’t book it as we will no longer be resident in the UK at the time of hire. How have others approached this? Guest
We just booked a car ourselves? Loads of sites to choose from doing online ie https://www.kayak.com.au/cars https://www.skyscanner.com.au/carhire..etc.. unless your insurance covers it, good idea to take out separate car hire excess insurance (just google.com.au it and make sure you take it out once you're here before picking up the car rather than opt for it at the car rental place). Insurance (for example) - https://www.go-walkabout.co.uk/one_way_travel_insurance.php
