NicF
Depends on the council. Pretty sure ours were provided free for a new build on a sub divided block. I would get on to the council website and see if there is anything about it on there. Edited November 6, 2018 by NicF

Kenneth Wragg
Jon: A long time ago there was a TV programme similar to Judge Judy the Judge at the time was Judge Wappner, he once said if you ever take anyone to court ( do your homework) I’m doing that homework. Good to hear from you. K.G.W.
Parley
You will be given a garbage bin and a recycling bin for free. Well you are paying it with your council rates. A garden bin is usually optional and you will pay extra (mine is $60 per year) for the garden waste collection.

Bridgeman
It depends on the council. We have to pay for all our bins. It makes me cross as our council are on a drive to encourage everyone to use a green waste bin but won't provide them free. Any green wast which goes in the household bin has to be put in a plastic bag. Also ridiculous as Queensland has just banned the use of plastic bags in the supermarket yet the council are encouraging their use. We are not in a new build however, maybe its different for a new build.
Kenneth Wragg
Hello. Thank you for you help/comments about the waste bins. Here in the U.K. in certain parts the Council have decided to collect the bins once a month, within days rats/ vermin people with large families struggling to find somewhere to put their household rubbis, fly tipping has increased, the council say this is to save money!! Your points have been noted, thank you. KGW
