johnborro
Hi all We have returned to Australia after a four year stint back in the UK and my wife is looking for work. We are currently living in the South East suburbs and she is applying for plenty of jobs with no real takers. When we have look online there are various online training courses being offered for the qualifications the jobs are asking for but which is the one to choose? The qualifications are the basic RSA (Responsible Serving of Alcohol) and the FHC (Food Handling Certificate), some offer full online training others offer a mix of on the job and off the job training. One particular course says that she has to do a practical exam and be witnessed doing certain operations, however without the job in the first place, how can she be witnessed to do anything? Some location are local cafe's and others are RSL's etc but we seem to be struggling to get any real interest - it seems like it is incredibly difficult to land jobs at Woolworths and Bunnings etc despite the local store saying they have vacancies it all seems to be online and when I look there are none advertised. Can anyone point us in the right direction or provide any pointers? Thanks in advance.
