Anyone watching the cricket ?

Recommended Posts

Never see anybody playing cricket.  It’s all football these days (AFL & League)
If you were to get up early at weekends and go out and about you'd see plenty of cricket matches. English football has taken over all sports here, obviously AFL will always be around but it's also obvious that most kids now want to play football .

I noticed that, down in the south west of WA, Dunsborough and Busselton mostly when we were there last year. There are lots of Brits and lots of soccer being played. My grandsons play soccer / football in that area and are coached by two guys originally from East London.

Well done the Aussies. Australia claims the ODI series. Mitchell Starc gets two wickets in in the first two balls and also hits the winning runs.

Like @Bulya says. Who watches cricket anyway 😉

Given the Aussies won the ODI series do you agree the English are even more crap than Australia ?

No, they're the world champions.

Saw 1 minute of the cricket  by accident last night - not for me

Still engrossed in 3 weeks of beautiful scenery ,- cyclists riding over 150 km every days - stunning mountain scenery while the worlds elite athletes battle it out .

Even if you hate cycling , its worth a watch .

Its like a 3 week advert for the French tourist board

Great filming - informed commentary on the race , and any relevant buildings en route , of which there are many .

Fantastic

On SBS in oz , apparently .

The most dramatic bits are over - such as the mountain stages - but they are in Paris , for the finish  on Sunday- worth a watch

Yes it's on SBS and as you say worth watching for the scenery.  OH watches it every year without fail.

Off topic but just continuing the previous few threads. I have loved the TDF for years now but in my humble opinion there is too much talking and flash backs after every advert break on SBS, the commentators seem to want to impart their knowledge to the nth degree, much preferred the Eurosport broadcasts with  Phil Liggett and his partner, who I believe passed away a year or so ago. Eurosport is no longer available through Foxtel

choice here eurosport or ITV4 .

Itv4 has better coverage - Chris boardman - David Millar
