1000s killed in indonesia but everyone only worried about the whale stuck in the thames... I have come to realize that people care more about animal welfare than human welfare.

Drinking rum before 11am does not make you an alcoholic, it makes you pirate..

It is true. I remember posting about the poor Bristish man who was beheaded by Jihadi John in Syria and no one seemed to care.

And just after a poster posted about her cat that had just died of old age. She must have gone 10 posts expressing sympathy about her poor cat.

I want it all, and I want it now.

There’s a reason Britain had the RSPCA sixty years before the NSPCC (originally LSPCC).

Because people don't care about animals - there needs to be a charity to care for them.

If people truly cared about animals, why would the RSPCA be needed?

Blame the media.  It's awful how there is some quite unimportant issues e.g. sport, plastered all over the front and next couple of pages in a newspaper or some item about a 'celebrity' then 5 pages in there will be a paragraph about a ferry sinking off a third world country with dozens of people drowned  ................  makes no sense to me.

Poms have always cared more for animals.  I happen to prefer it that way

That is true.  When you think about it, if we were all decent human beings there would be no need for the RSPCA or any of those children's charities but there are so many utter, cruel b@stards out there that those charities are relied on for help.  ?

The need for a charity tells you otherwise.
