PedroColnaghi
Hi all, I'm currently on the 457 sponsorship valid until September 2020. I have also just lodged the application for 190 and received a bridging visa A, which will only come to affect once my current visa has finished. Does anyone know what happens if I quit my job right now? Would I start effectively on the bridging visa A or would I lose the rights for this visa once I didn't keep my current visa? Thank you
wrussell
If you quit you can expect immigration to cancel your 457 in due course and this would cancel your bridging visa.

Thanks.

Thanks. Because if you hold a bridging visa issued when you held a substantive visa and that visa is cancelled, the bridging visa automatically ceases by operation of law.
