figment Posted August 22, 2018 Share Posted August 22, 2018 Hi, I am on a 489 Visa and have applied for PR - in Feb this year. The 489 runs out in October and I will then go onto a bridging Visa until the PR decision. In the meantime, my reciprocal medicare card also runs out in October. Do I need to reapply for a medicare card or will they automatically send me a new card when it expires whilst I am on the bridging visa?
