Transferring inheritance money from UK to oz

Hi everyone, happy Friday! 

My lovely nan died earlier this year and she left me money in her will. My dad (in UK)  wants to send it to me tomorrow and has looked at a few online transfer services (transferwise, ofx etc). Can anyone recommend which to use for ease of use for my dad and any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Louwarren I am so sorry to hear that what a terrible time for you all. We used @John from Moneycorp When we moved ours. Setting up an account is free and you can also get a free fee transaction with being a Pomsinoz member. Also if you do find a better deal let them know and they will work something out.

I see a lot of people recommending Transferwise but have never used them.  Personally I like Moneycorp, mainly because when I had to do my first transfer, I was able to  just ring them up and talk to a real person (not a call centre twerp), who was very helpful.

Thanks everyone.  My dad went ahead and transferred the money anyway.  He was in a hurry to get it out of his account because he worries about the banks going bankrupt again!  Thank you so much for the advice.  I really appreciate it.  Love this site.
