Timeline on 309/100 via applied for in London

Recommended Posts

Oooh Heather ... very exciting who are you shipping with??? March will come around super quick.
We have the usual suspects coming to quote at the end of Jan .... gonna pop the house on the market in early Jan and plan to move in July .... We have decided to give the full 12 months to hope the visa is in then can start work straight away. Otherwise I'm on a 600 onshore waiting .... although do-able not ideal so we will see. Also gives me 6 months to clear out our cupboards and clothes etc that I'm not looking forward to!!!!

Hi Katie, Britannia Reeves. House sold last summer but been renting it back for 6 months. Some clearing out has happened but more needs to go! Flip from being totally overwhelmed to  excited and quite rational about it all!

This is awesome!!!

Our things were collected 11th December, we fly 22nd January!! Fingers crossed we get our visas before then, if not then it's holiday visas which we have & pop across to New Zealand 🙈

We have 18 days left in this house - rented- then 3 nights in a Premier Inn.

It's getting real now, ive just listed my car for sale today, totally gutted me as I bloody love it 😂

We're also Brisbane bound, well just outside - looking at Upper Coomera, Pimpama, Ormeau. We looked around schools on our last holiday but due to a delay in moving my oldest daughter will now be starting High School!!

Ive got an English estate agent over there looking for rental houses for us, so fingers crossed we can get somewhere pretty quick as we need an address for schools & to buy a car!

Hi @CEP, great work!

Just one thing, our request for more info was w/c 03/12/18... not 03/10.

Hope we see a whole rush of approvals through this week guys! 🤞

I lodged 20th August 18, further information requested 01 Dec 18. !

I know they must have hundreds of applications to work through but it's so frustrating waiting for the OK.  Just got to keep busy getting the house ready for the market.

Hi All,

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for your help and guidance. We arrived into Melbourne yesterday and the flight and tourist visa went without a glitch. Waiting for the Partner visa to come through over here in the sunshine is already making life easier!

Massive luck to you all and a very happy new year!

We lodged on 22nd August, and got asked for further info on 3rd December so we are on exact same timescales at the moment! When did you get your extra info in and what did they ask you for, if you dont mind me asking?  Our request for more info was a bit baffling - they wanted to know what countries my partner (the applicant) had lived in for more than 12 months in the past 10 years - hes scottish and has lived in the same house near Manchester for 13 years, so no more info to offer there (plus they already had all that from his address history and travel history for the past 10 years from the application).  Then they also asked for more proof of our relationship, so we gave them everything we could possibly think of, including phone bills, several years of car insurance certs with the other as named driver, more joint travel bookings from holidays etc and a statement from my partner.... hopefully they have enough now as I'm not sure what else we can give them!

Pretty much the same as you!

I'd already loaded some financial documents but they requested more from 2015 onwards.
My husband is the Aussie and he was asked for an Australian Police cert as well as a UK one.
He also had to give his travel details for the last 10 years which was mainly back and forth to Australia.

We've been together 13 years, married 10 with no kids. I'm hopeful that we are a pretty straight forward case but who knows!

My hubby thinks if they can buy time by asking a question they do ... that way they can stop the clock on our applications until we reply. Apparently it's something people in IT departments do when they have loads of tickets

I personally think they are now under so much scruinity that they wont assume anything they just ask the question to ensure every i is dotted and t is crossed so there is no comeback on them .... which you can understand.

I just hope Santa was good to them at Xmas and they are all back raring to go!!!! Gems1984 enjoy the sun it's murkey and cold here ... I am super jel

@CEP: just a minor correction for my lodgement date, it's 17-Jun (not 11-Jul) 🙂

Happy New Year all!

I have just booked my flights for validation trip after failing to convince my boss it was worth a work trip to Sydney.  So I am £1300 out of pocket today, but good to have it booked in, and as I can work from the Sydney office i don't lose a weeks holiday.

@Jon the Hat which airline are you booked with and when are you flying? I just saw a deal today UK to various Australian cities on Jack's Flights between £500-£600 rtn with Cathay Pacific / China Southern (Feb-Nov excl July/Aug).. 🤨

also, does anyone know once the 309/100 is granted what is the deadline that one has before last entry to activate/validate visa?

I am flying LGW to SYD Cathay Pacific for £640 - I could have gone cheaper but I have to go in a specific week due to other work commitments.

You get 12 months from the earliest date on your medical and police certificates.  I am flying 11 months and 2 days into that!

Thanks for the visual.

This does give me hope that it will be sooner rather than later! Having everything crossed is becoming a bit uncomfortable.

Omg@CEP that made my morning I love it .... see these haters just don't know the power or joy Excel can bring ..... wait til they discover a pivot table it will BLOW THEIR MINDS!!!!!!
All crossed there are some more green grant boxes soon.
I was thinking about it tho I doubt we hear this week. A lot of the COs seem to be Spanish (huge generalisation on the names of COs on RFIs and that Madrid closed so prob were re-assigned) but if that is the case Spain celebrates Xmas on the 6th Jan .... so they may not be back to work til next week????
I dunno just trying to make up a reason we haven't heard of any grants since before Xmas!!!!!

Hi - can anyone give any advice on the timelines expected for a temporary (or permanent) spousal visa to be granted.  I’m from the UK and married to an Australian for 6 years, we have owned a house together for 8 years and we have a daughter aged 6 who is also dual citizen in UK and Australia with Ozzie passport etc.  We applied for my visa on 13 May and had acknowledgement the same day, my medicals were requested immediately and loaded 2 week later.  We’ve not heard anything since and not been assigned a case officer.  Is there anyone else who’s in a similar situation and has any advice on this.  Be interested to know other peoples experience and timelines so that it gives me something to work towards as at the moment we have no idea if it’ll be months or years! We’ve sold our house ready for the move and are renting until we hear.

Hi Nadine1, did you manage to get it by Christmas in the end? Good luck with everything.
