vimjay
10-07-2018 Hi All, I am from India and planning to migrate Australia with PR / 489 Visa with my family. I want to migrate with my family i.e. me (42 yrs), my wife (42 yrs), my two kids (14 yrs and 9 yrs). I am from IT background and going to apply as a developer software / software programmer. My younger son (9 years) is suffering with cerebral palsy. He is physical disable. He can't walk, can't speak meaning full. He has mile stone delay and currently his physiotherapy is going on. My main question is that is he eligible for Visa / PR ? Is there any problem to get VISA ? What type of care should I take to get VISA. Is there any special condition or special process to get such VISA ? If anyone experienced person, please guide me. URGENT. Thanks in advance. ali
Sadly, I don't think your son would pass the medical - but I am not an expert. You would need to speak to a registered agent for some professional advice.

For any permanent visa to Australia, there is always the requirement for Medical for the whole family. It sounds harsh but if Immigration feel that the individual will cost Australia $$$ in care costs, then they could refuse the visa. Clearly your youngest son's condition will be assessed as part of the visa process. Due to the nature and seriousness of his condition, I would advise you to use a migration agent with experience in medical issues. You would not want to try and handle the application yourself and potentially lose money for a declined application, when an experience fed agent could guide you through the necessary process. Good luck. Edited July 10, 2018 by Beffers
Quoll
I would think he will fail the medical as the cost to the Aus tax payer is basically going to be an expensive special school provision. There are agents who specialise in emigrating with medical conditions - George Lombard, Peter Bollard and Richard Gregan, they will give you good advice but based on what you have written above I would think it highly unlikely he would get a visa.
