Kbobs
We were granted our 4 year 457 visas on Monday 4th June. Which was exactly 15 weeks since we applied. We were advised by agent that it is a high risk application due to my husbands medical history and not to get our hopes up. We were not asked for any further info Husband is a carpenter. He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukaemia in September 2012 and finished chemotherapy june 2015. He reached 5 year remission november 2017. This may give hope to others in a similar medical history position.
Quoll
The medical criteria are less stringent for temporary visas than they are for PR so the case may be different should you ever decide you hope to be permanent.

We will cross that bridge when it comes to it. We will be 9 years remission by then so much further along. Not going to let it put us off.

We celebrated our fortieth wedding anniversary in Sydney just six days after being granted our PR parents' visa. There are encouraging stories out there. Wishing you both all the luck in the world in your new venture !
