Never before have I come across a person with such a desperate desire to be fooled as you. It’s getting embarrassing.

On the matter of Trumps weight, as with so many things, the only thing that you, Parley need to do to find the evidence is to simply open your eyes.

All they have left is body shaming.  It's quite sad really.

To me it appears that the swamp are doing their best to stir up civil disobedience, with the intention of making trump supporters look bad. It's a very dangerous game and could go very wrong very quickly.

And yet Trump famously promised to drain the swamp.

Another triumphant failure.

I think you might be confused.  People are laughing at how patently ludicrous his vanity is.

And also having a chuckle at how his followers believe everything he says, no matter how absurd and transparently false.

I think it's OK to inject a bit of humour into anything to do with Trump or Biden.  As I've said before, I'm happy I don't live in the US.

Why would we be surprised? The man is a fantasist. He lives in a bubble of denial and his ego is only inflated by his sycophant children and hangers on- all motivated by the mighty $$. It’s comi-tragic. Imagine if he was poor.

Or could it be it goes towards pointing just how precarious  democracy has become?  Trump as seen by many as a protest vote against a tarnished establishment, even though is

part of the same but appears as a maverick.

Fits in rather well I'd say with a lot of personalities.  No wonder he's doing so well in the polls to date.

Something odd about the mug shot. I've yet to see one taken as this angle. Is this serious?

He is loved by the people.  He brings hope.

Hope of what exactly? What do you like about his ideas?

The same hope as every snake oil salesman. Comforting fantasies for the vulnerable and disillusioned.

See also; Brexit.

To be fair, the poor aren't really represented by the Dems, the supposedly "left" party (there is no left in American politics. The Dems were the ones fighting to keep slavery if you remember). They are largely ignored. In a lot of marginal states it makes more sense for the poor to vote for the right, as at least the right may give them something to retain their votes. As with the red wall in the north of the UK. Ignore your voting base at your peril. For a lot of people, their only hope is someone like trump, as the traditional parties largely ignore them.

Yep. Dems are left of the GOP but not left in the way the Brits or Aussies would recognise.

But the slaves point you made isn’t right. Well technically it is.  Republicans used to be the left and dems the right in the USA. The switch came around the start of the last century when democrats started advocating for more social justice via a federal power expansion, which had previously been a republican position. At least that’s what I gather from a history podcast I like.

Have you ever met a Australian labour MP from a country region? They can be much more right wing than your urban Liberal MPs. I would say Britain is unique in that most of labour are left wing and most of the Tories are to the right. Most other countries politics are much more complicated. Is that a reflection of the country?
