Barrywelsh
I’m a type 1 diabetic and I’ve just lodged my EOI last week. I’ve done lots of research into the medical and diabetes as technically you are gambling the cost of the visa to potentially be turned down at the end. I contacted a medical professional based in Australia called Dr Martha Baz. She gave me a report indicating if I am likely to pass....which I was. She will also be part of my application process by providing detailed reports. I think the idea is to provide as much information at the start e.g specialist consultant reports etc. She calculated my treatment cost, which was roughly $3000 per year and the limit is $40000 over 5 years Providing you have no major complications I don’t think it’s an issue.
Cerberus1
Richard Gregan wrote an article for us some time ago and diabetes type 1 was mentioned.
